In memory of nephewNigel Fanfairwho passed away suddenly on the soccer field on May 13, 1999May his soul Rest in Peace************************************* Nigel's MotherMother Eunice, sitting as she greets sympathizers at the funeral home Debra sitting amidst Nigel's sisters, Nanda on the left and Sharon on the right folding the funeral programs. Debra was special to Nigel Mother Eunice doing some sprinkling of Nigel's favourite cologne around the coffin and checking to see that everything was done properly for her departed son. Courtney realized how strong willed Nigel was and admired him for working purposefully towards achieving his goals. He got a surprise when Nigel gave him the Okay to get married for he Nigel assumed responsibilty for the granting of permission. Dorian was always called 'Chubby'. He gave an excellent eulogy in honour of his brother 'Joe', as Nigel was familiarly called. Brother Patrick in whom Nigel took a special interest, having studied sociology to a great extent. Brother Baba had tremendous regard for Nigel who "bailed" him out on many occasions when as a young man, he dared his mother with late-night arrivals at home. Nigel would secretly open the bedroom window to let him in. Debra did shed some tears for her loss is a great as Eunice'sThey both loved him dearly. Boyhood friend Jeremy, on the left, and Cousin Ishmail from London, England , on the right, gave moving tributes to Nigel. The eloquence of the tributes was quite noticeable. Everyone felt that Nigel would have liked to have the Drummers around... so they were invited over and came willingly. Yes......Yes........dominoes are always at wakes.Here the folks had two tables going and if it was needed, they had another table waiting to be unfolded. I had my stint at the table, and held my own for just a little while.
